Ages 3–5
Preschool (ages 3-5)
Somewhere in here a child stops just listening and starts arguing with the plot. They want to know why the fox did that, whether the girl was scared, and what happens after the end. These stories are written for that — long enough to hold a proper middle, simple enough to follow when they're half-asleep, and built around one thing worth turning over. This is also the age when the day starts leaking into bedtime, so you'll find plenty here about first days, big feelings, and being braver than expected.
